Weird Tales & Robot Art! I woke up today and discovered I was a Robot. It wasn't all that shocking though, the truth is I've been this way for a long time. It's just peculiar that after all these years that this was the first instance I truly recognized it. I mean it's not going to change anything and isn't all that drastic of a discovery but maybe there is some significance to this epiphany, maybe I can learn from this or maybe not. The thing is the machinery has already entirely integrated itself into my lifestyle so whether I am or ever was human is ultimately of very little significance.
How did I come to this technological realization you might ask? Well it was a very simple process that you might bare witness to in your own life. It all started this morning with a simple observation that made me think this robotic evolution has been in effect since the day I was born. The first clue came to me when I ended what humans refer to as their sleep cycle. The very first thing I heard was the electric sounds of repetitive beeping. Certainly I'd heard these every single day of my life but this time it got my circuits moving. I started to wonder why my initial thoughts of the day involved robotic melodies instead of any human topics like using the washroom or eating.
With these thoughts in mind I proceeded to end my sleep cycle and the beeping noises were quickly replaced by various other electronic sounds. The hum of my computer with all it's vibrations and tiny bleeps sang out in time with motors of the refrigerator, microwave and espresso machine. The buzzing vocals from the lights and the central heating completed the symphony filling my head with robotic noise. Every aspect of my being was dependent, no intrinsically connected to the electronics and I suddenly knew I was a machine... Continue Weird Tale Part 2
