INDOOR WALL MURALGRAFFITI ART WALL MURAL This site specific mural installation features a mix of comic book drawings and abstract cartooning to depict the Toronto skyline as seen from the Yorkville area. Along the bottom of the image there are a whole bunch of cars driving around twisty roadways with an iconic likeness of the Yorkville shopping district running the length of the drawing. This area has a whole bunch of storefronts with trees brickwork and little stairways all of which are very common amongst the classy architecture in that area. Behind all the quaint little shops the city is compiled of cubist styled buildings placed on top of one another. This portion of the illustration combines imaginary shapes with a number of the actual buildings in the area. The effect is interesting as the skyline is instantly recognizable yet completely obscured. There are two walls in this location each representing the skyline from a particular direction. The front wall captures Yorkville and the Four Seasons tower while the back wall depicts the Lakeshore area and Toronto's CN Tower. |
